This New Tool is the Quickest Way to Start Getting Paid as a Travel Influencer

Sharing is caring!

If you’ve got a travel Instagram or Tiktok account and you’re dreaming of ways to monetize it, this new tool is that girl

It’s called Plannin.

In my opinion, it’s one of the best hotel booking affiliate programs out there.

I made over $2000 with my first payout.

Whether you’re a travel blogger or vlogger, fashion or lifestyle creator, or someone just starting out with creating online content – you need to be using it!

This post contains affiliate links, meaning if you click through and make a purchase I may make a small commission. I only share information about things I know, love and trust!

Plannin Overview – What is It?

Plannin is a new hotel-booking website built to help content creators share their hotel recommendations and travel experiences with their audiences.

It’s similar to other third-party websites like Expedia or Booking, except it focuses on real-world recommendations from influencers and content creators instead of random, impersonal reviews.

It was designed to help travelers find hotels that their favorite creators have stayed at, while offering great discounts (usually up to 40% off compared to what you would find on other third-party booking websites)!

Creators can upload their photos, videos, tips and personal reviews about the hotels they’ve stayed at.

And the best part is that you don’t need a travel blog, newsletter or YouTube channel.

You can start monetizing and making passive income with your current Instagram or Tik Tok accounts!

How to Start Monetizing Your Travel Content on Instagram or TikTok

First, sign up for a creator account on Plannin here.

Next, add your recommended hotels to your profile. You’ll be prompted to write a brief review, add photos and/or videos and some tags.

Then, start sharing your hotel referral links with your audience!

You can do this in all kinds of ways:

  • Create a story series about a recent hotel you stayed at that you loved
  • Create an itinerary for a destination and include hotel details – make it into a reel or TikTok!
  • Add your referral link to your bios
  • Add affiliate links to your blog posts and YouTube videos

How Much You Can Earn with Plannin

The most interesting part I love about Plannin compared to other hotel affiliate programs is that once a user signs up for a profile through your link, you will earn a 5% commission for life from that user!

That means if a user creates an account and doesn’t book a hotel until a year later, you will still receive commission on that booking!

For example, most hotel booking affiliate programs have cookies that last anywhere from that session to 7 days.

So if you refer someone through those links, if they don’t book a stay within that time frame, the cookie is gone and you don’t get commission.

How Much I Have Earned So Far Using Plannin

I started promoting my Plannin affiliate links in March 2024 and received my first payout in July 2024 for my April and May 2024 earnings.

  • May 2024 commissions: $190.33
  • Bonus: $100
  • June Creator Challenge bonus: $500
  • Premier Partner Program Bonus (April to June): $1217

In total, my first payout was over $2000 from Plannin (that’s in USD).

And since they’re working on growing the platform and attracting more creators, they’re running all kinds of great bonuses – so it pays to be an early adopter!

Why Plannin is the Best Hotel Affiliate Program for Travel Bloggers & Travel Influencers

I can continue to earn commissions again and again from the same users if they choose to book another hotel for a future vacation.

The hardest part about earning hotel affiliate commissions is getting traffic (eyeballs) on your links and attracting new viewers.

But with Plannin, all you have to do is attract a user one time, get them to create a profile through your link, and then anytime they ever book a hotel stay, you’ll earn commission.

You also get to take advantage of what I call “double dipping.”

Not only can you promote your links to your own audience, Plannin complements your content with their marketing and email to encourage bookings.

Is Plannin Legit?

Yes, Plannin is a legitimate and safe website to book a hotel through!

There are more than 2 million hotels worldwide that can be booked.

Basically any hotel that you would find on Booking, you will find on Plannin, because it’s part of Booking Holdings, the parent corporation for Priceline, Agoda, Booking and OpenTable.

Plannin also uses the same back-end system as Priceline.

TechCrunch recently featured an article on Plannin which talks more about how the business is growing and funding they’ve received.
